When I’m not at my full time job or focusing on freelance design work, you can find me teaching and practicing yoga, Instagramming to one of my 3 (yes, 3...) accounts, or digging into a good book with my cats, Brea + Grayson nearby. But no matter what I'm doing, I'm always listening to music.

I normally fit in freelance work in the late evenings and during the weekend. Please contact me if you’d like more information on my availability and fees.

Since October 2014, I've been working at Capital One Digital as a Principle UX/UI Designer; I love the energy of my co-workers, the inspiring workspace and the different experiences each day. I've become enthralled with the powers of user testing, from empathy interviews to task-based prototype testing. Leading design jams/swarms/sprints has become a way of life. "Ideation" is most certainly a thing, and a word I use on a daily basis.  As if the work isn't enough, there's always a fun conference, a hackathon, a community outreach program, a team outing, or even just a free lunch to look forward to.

I basically dream in Sketch and Adobe Photoshop (both have their perks), and am quite chummy with Illustrator, InDesign, and Flash (thanks, 2007 career). I also have experience with HTML and CSS, though to be honest, I'd rather work closely with a developer that excels that type of work. Life is too short to do work you don't truly enjoy.

Born, raised and educated in State College, PA, I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a BA in Advertising and Public Relations, and a minor in English studies. After a brief love affair with Los Angeles, I moved to the Washington DC area in 2007 in search for a design-focused career. Though I focused on print design and copywriting in college, web & mobile design quickly became my focus.

Previously, I was the Senior Design Strategist at Results Direct, a web-solutions provider for over 100 top associations around the nation. While I was there for 5 years, I claimed the role as lead designer for most of RD's web design and mobile app projects. As the lead designer, I was responsible for rethinking site navigation, leading user testing through card sorts, wireframing a new UI, prototyping, and of course, creating lovely responsive designs.
